Founded in October 2024 by Salt Spring resident and perimenopausal mama, Valerie Louvet, Our Gathering Clinic is dedicated to providing a subsidized healthcare model for women to access menopause care using a Nurse Practitioner and holistic modalities barrier free on Salt Spring Island.
Mission
Our mission is to provide a clinic for women who need menopause care on Salt Spring Island and within the Gulf Islands. We provide subsided access to therapies, access to a nurse practitioner and community based care. The clinic operates under The Salt Spring Holistic Health Foundation, a registered charity and all donations go directly to funding the care that women receive.
Vision
Our Gathering Clinic works in partnership with holistic health practioners on Salt Spring. Currently our programming is made up of Clinical Reflexology, Massage Therapy, Physiotherapy, Dietician services, Acupuncture, and Mental Health services. We believe these treatments should be available to all menopausal women on Salt Spring Island not just those who can afford it or who have benefits copaying. This collaborative, preventative, multidisciplinary approach helps to deeply support perimenopause and menopauseal women and by extension their communities.
